The Green House

It’s not very exciting to talk, but the most effective way to immediately improve a home’s environmental performance is to install insulation. Pact it into ceilings, walls and around hot-water pipes and you’ve got the house equivalent of a woolly jumper in winter or an esky in summer, not to mention plenty of greenie points.
Effective insulation saves on electricity consumption, making a home more comfortable to live in an paying back the initial installation cost within a few years. That’s what I have learned today after I bought HDMI cable with a free magazine that talks a lot about saving electricity and home environmental efficiency.
Insulation is the cheapest thing you can do to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Householders would reap immediate benefits by going the whole insulation hog and installing it in walls, ceiling and floors.
Insulation has cascading effect on the environmental efficiency of a house. The better insulated a home, the more cost-savings the owner will reap. Installing lagging around the pipes that run between the hot-water system and the bathroom is insulation. The minute you do iy, you don’t have to pay to heat as much water and you don’t let as much cold water run down the drain.

Want to cook a perfect home? Ok let’s follow these easy steps!

Prep the spices
Make lasting memories by planning activities at least once every month. It could be as simple as a backyard picnic on weekends, trip to a nearby carnival on summer, or DVD marathons over popcorn on rainy days.

Throw in the love
Make sure that love is communicated-whether through words of deeds-to every member of the family. Let no one be more favoured than the other. Saying “I love you” often and asking “How are you?” are great starts.

Make up a great blend of harmony
Foster harmonious relationships by resolving conflicts pronto. Bickering amongst siblings is normal, but taking it for granted is a big mistake. Teach your kids to express their emotions well-that is minus the shouting and fretting. Talk about issues big and small, in an encouraging manner.

Simmer to perfection
Family activities are good, but alone moments with you and your kid, or you and your husband are also needed. Make a habit of setting aside a personal time with each member of your family. It could be during the long drive home, or a spontaneous trip to the mall.
