What is the definition of security in the Information Technology world now a days? Security was probably simplier concept 20 years ago. With the advances in technology, particularly in the Internet and computer connectivity, the concept security has gone beyond complex. Imagine having to deal with a network of computers and dealing with every channel, and making sure that each one is secure. 2 Decades ago, the concept was just applied to a single system in a single machine. Now a days, it maybe a single system; but it can be connected to other systems; or a single system composed of a dozen servers. The possibilities are just endless. Soaring numbers of internet addicts are suffering from extreme stress when they are unable to get their online “hit” a new study has found.
Monitoring of obsessive web users showed their brains activity and blood pressure increased when they cut off.
The stress was equivalent to that a running half an hour late for a key meeting, being about to sit an important exam or being sacked.
And this stress even has a name: discomgoogolation. The term comes from “discombobulate” , which means confuse or frustrate, and Google. It shows on their face by means of acne and wrinkles even they’re still young at age.
Almost half of Britons are discomgoogolation sufferers, according to the survey, with 27 per cent admitting to being stressed when they are unable to go online. Forty-seven percent believed the internet was more important than religion.
“Broadband has meant… we’ve entered a culture of instant answers. A galaxy of information is just a mouse click away and we have become addicted to the web. It was also fund that 76 percent of Britons could not live without the internet, with more than a half the population using the web up to four hours a day and 19 per cent of people spending more time online than with their family.
Some psychiatrists have claimed obsessive internet use is such a serious health problem it should be recognized as a clinical disorder.
